With more than 30 years of portfolio management experience, David builds investment portfolios to help people meet their investment objectives while managing risk.
David served as the Managing Director of Tributary Capital Management in Fort Collins, Colorado. He managed mid-cap growth and balanced strategies for the Tributary mutual funds, pension and profit sharing plans, endowments, and other non-profits. These strategies were consistently among the top performers in their peer groups and were ranked four or five stars by Morningstar® during his 18-year tenure as manager. Before Tributary, David served as Chief Investment Officer for First National Bank Wealth Management in Colorado, where he managed portfolios for high-net-worth individuals, family foundations, and family offices. He also managed the bank’s pooled and common trust funds and its largest multi-generational family investment portfolios. Prior to joining TRAIL RIDGE Wealth Management, David was a Senior Investment Strategist with a large multi-national bank. David earned his undergraduate degree in finance from the University of Colorado, Boulder. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation and has been an active industry leader serving in various roles at the CFA Institute, including as the Topic Area Coordinator for Equities and a member of the Candidate Curriculum Committee and Council of Examiners.
David values community involvement. He served on the board for the Boys & Girls Club and the Red Cross, and as a volunteer at numerous other non-profits. A long-time Coloradan, he is a mountain biking enthusiast.
David has climbed 35 of Colorado’s 53 fourteeners, and plans to take on several more.
